An LS3 swapped 1991 Nissan 300ZX with a pair of Precision 6266's making 1000+ horsepower to the wheels

There is a reason LS swaps are possible. They work, they're reliable, they're fairly affordable, and they can make huge power. Purists may hate seeing an American V8 under the hood but the owner is making too much horsepower to care.

The correction factor on this Dyno Dynamics is not shown but quadruple digits are no joke. This is big, big power:

This swap is actually more popular than you might think and LOJ conversions offers a swap kit: https://www.lojkits.com/pages/300zx-1990-1996-overview

The engine certainly looks right at home:

    As for the motor specs:

The engine features a bored and honed head, JE FSR pistons, Manley Pro Series I-beam rods, 1250 HP Turbo camshaft, Manley Extreme Duty Series valves, Fast 120mm intake, and Nick Williams 102 mm electric throttle body.

The engine is fed by two Walbro 450 LPH E85 fuel pumps through Fast LSXR fuel rail and ID 1300 cc injectors. Two Precision 6266 turbochargers are mounted in rear of the car. The combination made the wheels spin on the dyno at 1,017 horsepower so they estimate it’s making 1,110 whp and about 1,287 horsepower at the crank

Doesn't look like enough intercooler for that power. But pretty cool. Better than the motor that was in there to begin with lol.

I think the 8ft of charge piping before the intercooler actually functions as additional cooling capacity on these rear mount kits .

I didn't catch that they were rear mounted...much less cool then. Lag city for sure.

Not a big fan of rear mount either but this one is well executed and has plenty of displacement.

Thanks for adding me to this site. I appreciate the mention as well. Here is an updated video on my 300zx LS3 Swap project, which is still in the works. I should have the car sometime in late July of 2018.

300ZX LS3 swap rear mounted Precision Turbo & Engine 6266's with the V band stainless turbine housings and dual ball bearing center sections by TurninConcepts first startup test. Filters, pre-filters, and rain guards will be added. Also, final dyno tune video. 300zx LS3 Swap final dyno run. The tires were spinning at 1017whp so the estimated reading would be ~ 1100WHP. Considering 17% loss of power through the drivetrain, it should be about 1287hp at the crank, ehh... Lets call it 1300hp.
