Error 404. I was actually trying to see what rom family it was to note in the thread, but fail. There are multiple IS families, just like non-IS: IJE0S, IKC0S, ILA0S and INA0S.

Well...turns out I don't have an Xdf file to view my own rom. How can I tell the software version so I can track down an xdf?

MHD should identify the rom family on the flash screen IIRC, something like "HW: Ixxxx", may be under codes screen also. Not too many options though, so my guess is you're IKC0S or ILA0S if neither the IJE0S or INA0S XDFs display the tables properly. XDFs for IK and IL are out there, but not in the current zip. MHD is also not supporting them (not porting updates to their layouts), so might as well update to INA0S with MHD if it's not IJ or IN.

OK, this is an IKC0S ROM. I found an OLD (OLD!) IKC0S XDF...does anyone have a newer one?

Not sure if it's been updated since it was created and it might have incorrect definitions. Takes a few minutes to update to INA0S and you're on the latest and supported rom.

I saw that too (update to INA0S)... What's the preferred method for that proccess? Do I need to use BMW Tools to do this or can I simply flash via MHD?

If they have a built-in process in MHD now, could just use that, otherwise, you just need to rename or delete WBAKG1C59BE617434_original.bin from the MHD folder so MHD can't find it and then select flash back to stock. If MHD cannot find a bin under the VIN_original filename, it will build the latest bin for the car and flash it.

If this file is IKC0S, then it is not a 335is file. IKC0S is the precursor to the current 1M ROM version, IKM0S.

Jyamona, I'll double check when I get back to Dallas. But I did pull it off a 335is DCT that hasn't ever been touched.

I still get 404 and picture of kitty in a case from tech support. "ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND
Oops! Looks like the page you're looking for was moved or never existed.
We've got someone on it. Make sure you typed the correct URL."
There is most definitely an IKC0S_IS, are you just indicating "IKC0S" (not IKC0S_IS) is a non-IS rom?
