    Most powerful naturally aspirated C6 Z06 and LS7 - 622 rwhp on E85

622 naturally aspirated horsepower out of the LS7 V8? That is just absolutely insane power without any boost. It's also making 546 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. This motor is a 429 cubic inch V8 built by Katech with 13.0:1 compression pistons.

That explains why it has to run E85 fuel. It also has a Katech K501 cam, MSD intake, and full exhaust.

Oh, and it goes into a car weighing ~2800 pounds.

    Awesome? Awesome.

Pretty impressive to do that with a 429. Friend of mine made 616 in his C6Z with a 454.
Pretty funny that the only thing not changed is the block which is why they can still call it an Ls7.

That is a beautiful curve for a LSx engine too.

Look at what this dumbass on Facebook wrote:

622 rwhp is not even close to the most powerful n/a c6 z06 or ls7. Pretty "run of the mill", especially with 13:1 compression and e85. It's been done on pump gas with a stock bottom end many times.
Yeah, 622 NA is run of the mill. GTFO.

It's funny how fast technology, parts, tuning improves. 600+ is common now. I did 626 on stock bottom end, and friends of mine have done 640-650 whp also with stock bottom-ends (with much more aggressive cams). Pump gas isn't much lower.

Its definitely a lot of power and would be crazy on the street.
If they were able to get the same hp per cylinder as NA hondas they would be over 1000whp and if the same specific output per liter it would be almost 1500whp from an NA 7L haha. Don't think that is possible with cam in block though.

Cam in block isn't what's holding them back, it's other inherent design "flaws". The displacement means heavier interns, the V is a more inefficient design than an inline, but most of all, it's head flow. Even the LS7 heads, as amazing as they are, can't do what the 4v heads can.
