Upgraded twins - not much success yet
The only reasonable customer dyno, >500whp (without nitrous) is by Lostmarine. Even in his case the tuning solution is not yet optimal.
Customers with ASR turbos have not been able to get even close to the dyno glory runs of ASR.
Some other solutions having not too convincing results can be partly due to the clipping of turbine wheel and thus less than perfect turbo aero.
Then there are twinturboed customers who are looking for a solution for missparks/ignition/fueling, overboost limits or custom tuning in general.
All in all while the best results with the tiny stockers are around 450whp, the upgraded twins are rather disappointing in general so far. Upgraded twins quarter mile times and traps are not worth being proud of either.
Tuning seems to be the bottleneck for now. Let's hope this will change soon enough.

500hp in 90* weather
dead even run with a 460hp lightened V10 Lambo
123mph with a methfailsafe/boost-cut 200' before 1/4 timing lights- full weight and 18psi at a real track where 20 psi stock turbo/track prepped guys run 115-119 is not impressive?
well then, I guess I/we have some work to do

Let alone the ASR cars mile speed which is incredible. How many cars do you have info of that you conclude that?

right, with racegas and 'proper map 2 tuning' i should be over 500wheel in no time and then ill be posting serious results. i am very confident there is a lot of untapped power. before the overboost code shoots the power climbing up is incredible, i cant even imagine on racegas with a even more efficient intercooler. 654, i think you are suffering from impatience, or want to purchase a turbo upgrade soon and would like customer results to your standard. i am very confident i will run similar results to the asr mile at 179mph. honestly? if not, better because the 1 has an 'e-lsd' if im not mistaken, which isnt really an lsd at all, instead i have a quaife lsd, and should be able to gain much more speed in the 1st 1/2 mile than the 135, and for who ever knows the mile test, the 1st half is where picking up the speed counts, if you can gain 5 mph in the 1st half it means a lot more at the mile marker. so, 654, you just need to be patient, the mile event is this december i believe, i should be in 100% conditions by then and will post results either way.

Approx 200hp gain over stock 450 whp upgraded stockers is impressive in my book. This may be the perfect solution for those not wanting to push the boundaries but have relatively safe, reliable power for cheap.
In my supra days I knew of a few blown motors, many stock turbos failures and a fuel cap close to ours, but was easily overcome with upgraded fuel-rails injectors etc...
Space and fuel delivery are very challenging bottlenecks and internals will become questionable at high power levels until we really understand the limit.
It would be cool if you could just throw in a fuel system, single turbo, tune and go but BMW has made it hard to do.
Thanks to those who are willing to push the limit for us but it would be nice to see a fully built N54 with 600+.

I believe ASR was able to get their tuning spot on them being friendly with Vishnu and also being tuners themselves. Moreover they had probably done a lot more to the car that anyone knows, probably running some leaded extreme octane and what not. That is an excellent result though, and thus I was carefully talking about customer cars, of which tuning is less spot on and we have not seen any great results yet from the customer ASR-turboed cars (there are a couplde of them). Yes they have potential, but for now, it is just unrealized potential.
Also there are a couple of Tial-turboed and at least one Helix-turboed cars, that are again, nice improvements, but nothing extraordinary. Yes, I'm somewhat impatiently (as Oddjob said) waiting for a full compressor&turbine upgraded well tuned (possibly /w 3bar map sensor) customer car to come up with great results.

You need all the octane and fueling to extract all out of your turbos, so meth will add even more punch.

Last I read from JP he had that knock problem with the plugs and was going to swap them. Always been curious how his turbos stack up against RBs, or even ASR/RDSPorts. Would love to see a side by side race!
