Eurocharged twin turbo Mercedes W204 C63 AMG M156 V8 makes 681 to the wheels on pump gas

This is just a teaser preview but it gives you an idea of the capability of the M156 with turbochargers. Eurocharged released information on development of this twin turbo M156 setup a couple months ago and BenzBoost was able to obtain a dynograph.

The specs are as previously stated:

    The engine is a built M156 (6.2L).
    - Custom CP Pistons (lower compression than stock)
    - Carrillo Rods
    - Custom ARP Head Studs
    - SLS Black Series Valve Buckets
    - CNC Ported Race Heads
    - 650cc Injectors

The turbos are Precision GEN2 PT6062 CEA
    - Dual Ceramic Ball Bearing
    - 60mm Compressor Wheel
    - 66mm Wastegate Outlet
    - T3 V-BAND Flange
    - 3" Turbine Inlet Housing

This was supposed to be a one-off design but due to the interest Eurocharged will produce a twin turbo kit for purchase. What can it do? Well, at only 5.2 psi of boost on pump gas how does 681 horsepower and 613 lb-ft of torque at the wheels sound?

Now imagine the race gas figures on high boost. BenzBoost will be bringing you those soon of course. For now, Eurocharged continues to work on the kit and the tuning.

    Sick.

It makes me wonder how world motorsport SLS made 200whp more with only 1 psi more boost on stock heads then?

Well this is a lower compression M156 and the M159 has different cams/heads.

I'd assume cnc heads would flow more thank M159 heads.

Maybe I donn't know we'd need the flow charts but I'd assume the same.

The M159 also has lower drivetrain losses in the SLS.

200 whp is a large spread but I seriously doubt 200 more whp at only 1 more psi especially on pump gas. The turbos are probably different too.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but I thought that World TT SLS was making 900 crank, not wheel?

I don't know. @93siro post the graph you're talking about.

Either way, I need turbos in my life. This winter.

Every time I think about getting something newer or different, all I need is a day like today when the car sounded mean as hell and put a big grin on my face. Not the best platform for straight-line or turns, but the engine is just legendary. Besides, who wants to mod something easy - that's no fun. Click here to enlarge

Im not a hater and I love what they done here but from a maintance point of view this setup is a nightmare

You have to rip coolers, pipes etc etc to change plugs

I love what they have done but there are flaws in the setup

I dont have the graph. On Matt Farah's smoking tire they said the stock car made 460whp on their dyno, and their tt setup made 900.

Guy often makes mistakes regarding actual output. No graph means you shouldn't buy it.

You have to think that's not the final design.

....and my setup will have easy to remove tubes that go up front for my FMIC.

Turbos are are the way to go, just glad they got the tuning sorted. Possibilities are endless now.

I mean if you want turbos there will be certain sacrifices.

Taking off an intercooler pipe is like 2 clamps. Stop being a big baby. It's easier than taking out what's there now.

How about the intercoolers? Those are in the way. How easy are they to remove?

I don't think there is a dyno. At 0:43 into that video he says it has 900hp. They are not talking about whp. So these EC numbers seem right on the money taking into account drivetrain losses and difference in intakes etc.
