Reloaded Apr tune. Installed injen intake. Never noticed this fluttering on my stock intake. Is that surge or just the electronic wastegate opening and closing really fast?

Sounds like spool surge. Does it only do it when you load from low down as the boost picks up?

Yes only noticeable at low load part throttle, I also sent the video to Tony and he also agreed that its on throttle surge. Is this something the jb4 would be able to tune around?

The problem has been addressed in the Stage 1 which is still undergoing testing. It is more of a problem on the R than the GTI. I am testing higher boost levels on the GTI this week to see when the onset is. Basically the only fix is to slow down the spool up rate to stock like levels.
