E55 NA Power Mods

New to this forum and glad I found it.

I have an 02 CL55 and I'm starting to look into increasing the power to the level of a 03 Kompressor model. I've owned it for about 15 months.

I would like to install a nitrous oxide system then have the ECU programmed for this. I also intend to mod the exhaust and intake system as best as I can for improvement.

Is there any available information on this kind of an upgrade for this engine? I've looked everywhere and cannot find much at all.

I really don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a Kleemann SC or Eismann. If I had to sepnd this kind of money I would sell the 02 and get a newer model. My car is a daily driver on the highway mostly.

Welcome.

Basically, the NA motors aren't going to gain anything like the supercharged M113's.

Talk to @[email protected] for a tune he'll hook you right up at a good price.

Other than a tune and exhaust mods, there is not much else you can do without getting a supercharger.

I am wondering why you can add an aftermarket SC but not grab one from a SC'd factory MB and convert that to the NA engine? That's what I've been reading anyway.

Programming. Sure, you can grab a factory SC and fit it. Why bother though with better aftermarket options?
