A45 and CLA45 AMG M133 turbo four-cylinder engine problems - Oil feed line contamination may result in turbo or engine failure
A batch of M133 AMG motors is having an issue with residual contamination of the oil feed line. This issue affects 365 A45 and CLA45 AMG cars produced before February 2014. The issue can result in a loss of engine power but also can damage the turbocharger. To date, it has also resulted in one engine needing to be replaced. Mercedes-Benz will release the service details today and will begin contacting affected customers.
If you are not sure if you are affected contact your local dealer and check your production date. Mercedes-Benz will replace the turbocharger and lines if necessary.
