This is not directed at any one person, but it seems that all the guys currently in this market are very discouraging to the "new guys" coming in. I understand that companies would rather not have competition and certainly dont have to help the competition, but alittle respect would be nice. I would consider myself a "new guy" to this platform, but I am in no way new to the performance industry. If you truely feel that this platform has great potential (as I do) and you are confident in your craft you should not fear competition. The more companies get involved the more the platform progresses and in turn the more customer gain interest in it. That snowball is the key to the success of any chassis.

@andy_divers, you have many valid points, this market is difficult to penetrate,I spent countless hours ranting about technicalities here just to break in the small amount that I have. I'm primarily a Supra guy that fell into the N54 market by accident, had an idea and made a product. As far as this design, a prototype has been on a car running port methanol for over a year(@uniter), to be honest I don't care about getting into a pissing match over it because both of us are going to be outdone by PTF's plate release today(It's real nice, I gotta say-which is incredibly ironic to me,considering I was fielding open conversation re port injection with him pre-dating my prototype...).Whatever, I'm not holding grudges, he who has the resource$ and time for development wins the race to market, as far as I'm concerned it was inevitable that this would happen and I didn't have the time to follow through with it. I'm not pursuing a kit anymore, I'm thoroughly disgusted with all of it and to be honest I am at capacity replicating the lockdown kits as it is. I will focus more on the one-off business that I actually enjoy. Good luck with it all, I mean that sincerely.

HAhaha! Nobody's f@%*ing with what PTF's got cooking anyhow, It's all pointless squabble anyhow. I'm probably more pissed at myself for being so hesitant anyway.

Well, I have always been in the honda scene and for the last 5 years I was the crew chief and fabricator for a honda shop in washington state called Kaizenspeed. About 5 months ago I parted ways from KS and opened my own shop called AD Engineering with the intend to transition from hondas to the n54 platform. Things have been good so far. Im still in love with the platform and have been developing quite a few products that are all finally starting to come together.

Glad to hear it and I wish you well. Trying to go out on your own is not easy, especially so in today's economy. However, I wish to remind you to follow the vendor rules and refrain from any commercial posting. This also includes how you interact with current vendors. I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong but your account will be limited if there is ANYTHING that can be interpreted as a commercial post.
