And here is the sexy rear end of the 2014 W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - S and E class mix
With another leak we are able to start piecing together the entirety of the design of the next generation 2014 C-Class. The design of the interior as well as the front of the car are all known due to previous leaks. What was missing though was a clear shot of the rear of the car. With the photos below you should be able to put together a clear picture of the entirety of the design which is very well executed by Mercedes-Benz.
There is no denying similarities to the W222 S-class rear design. Actually, they rear lights look practically identical which is somewhat of an odd decision by Mercedes to blen the S and C class rears so closely. Regardless, the design works incredibly well and the rear of the car is beautiful.
The front light design takes cues from E-Class so it would seem Mercedes blended the two designs together. The danger here is that the cars in the lineup may start to look too similar to one another. This is a problem Audi has struggled with as of late.
Hopefully Mercedes reveals the car officially soon. It is shaping up quite well.

The S and C have always been very similar. I think its a ploy to make C Class buyers feel a little better about their purchases. Hell, the W204 was the biggest departures from that. I like this mostly, do wish the tails were more distinctive. I bet it will look good with an AMG body and wheels

Thanks for posting.
All the pics we have for the w205 should be placed together in this thread so we can see what the whole car looks like in comparison.
The car is looking great.
I can't wait to see the AMG version.

Looks very nice and elegant. Really like where this is headed. I can't wait to see what the new C63 will look like.

Well, when it comes to its RWD platforms - and if I could add a twist to the nice comments above - looks like Mama and Daddy Mercedes had another baby.
And the kid, a good lookin' kid to be sure, obviously looks kinda like its older siblings. Catch 'em coming down the street together? Clearly our first thought is must be brothers & sisters.
Not to mention, I suspect I'm not the only one that has sibling friends that fit that description.
So, whatever the strategy is @ MB, that is, to raise new E-Class/S-Class buyers for the future...........I'm sold.
Last, but not least, can never say this enough: AMG!!.......AMG!!......AMG!! With the traditionally insane power + 4Matic?
Oh, hell yeah!!
(Memo to Mr. Tobias "Dr. Frankenstein" Moers: Please hurry up. You guys stiffed us on the E-Coupe AMG version, so let's not drag our feet too much now. Thanks.)

Can we get full specs or at least some details on the V6 turbo engine?
Twin turbos or single?
Displacement?

This definitely seems like the closest yet, although already the more I look at the 205 this week the more I can already distinguish the details in the front pretty easily. However, that side profile and rear end are pretty much identical. Maybe a bit lazy...but it is a good look.

Right. I wonder how many times I'm going to see an "S-Class" and it turns out to be a C from the rear. I think it is interesting how different all three design languages are from BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. The W222 looks damn good with an AMG package, not frumpy at all. I hope its the same for this. The M3/M4 are some of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen, hopefully the new C55/63/whatever they call it looks as good.

Everybody stepped their game up. Everybody has a good car and design now. The gaps have all narrowed.

Has anybody noticed that Mercedes saved weight of this car in a really stupid place?
They saved some of that 100kg of weight by shrinking the gastank from 59 to 41 liters.
Thus saving (when 90% full as regulations require) 11,7 kg on catalog weight.
41 liters is 10.8 gallons total gas tank volume
That will keep you busy driving from gas station to gas station...There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works
