M5, M6 Grand Coupe, Audi RS7, E63 amg,Porsche boxter S, Skyline GTR, New M4 or M3, Audi RS5, Audi TT RS there are plenty of options I'd choose from. If its a wagon though i'm probably going to pick that one over the rest. Wife and Kid you know.

Seriously, even at $90k the ZO6/7 is going to be an incredible buy, just as the Vette always has been. I would have never bought one before either, but the C7 overall has me curious. Now you've got a truly modern interior, even if it isn't up to exotic car standards. Styling can certainly polarize people... But I don't think people have to be ashamed to drive a Corvette anymore, especially since the stereotypical owners that many people wouldn't want to associate with are shunning the new design.

Based on pricing of the 991 turbo S, you can expect a GT2 to base close to $200k. Here's that level of performance for 1/2 the price or less after options. Stock-for-stock, would anyone dislike the Corvette badge enough to write a $100k check for something else with comparable performance? Maybe for someone that can write those checks all day long... For the same money I'd rather have a C7 Vette for the sports car and a 991 Carrera S to satisfy the Porsche itch.

The GT2 is still the car you would want though. The Vette's main appeal is value. It will always have that 'cheap' aura to it no matter how good it gets because it will never have the Porsche exclusivity or panache.

@whoosh nails it… Bottom line is it will be one heck of a performance deal at that pricing. Other cars may be nicer or faster but short of the GTR few will blatantly faster.

I'm not knocking the value. Buyers will have a phenomenal car that could beat most super cars if not keep up.

I'll take an older car and make it faster. But that's just me!
