I'm in love with this SUV. There aren't really many other cars I would consider over it at the moment.

I agree... I think the premium over the SQ5 will be worth it for the driving dynamics and styling, and these two are really the only vehicles worth considering in the segment.

This will handle and accelerate better though. The SQ5 with the supercharged motor is great but a twin turbo V6 with a dual clutch... damn.

Speaking of handling better, I read a review of the SQ5 today that stated the default power split for the quattro is 40:60 front to rear. Default for the Macan is 100% rear. With that and the lower weight, I can't see how the Audi will even come close in terms of driving feel and response

It won't. The Macan is simply the best in its class.

    Now to buy one...

Exactly. I can't think of anything on the market I'd rather have than this. X5M? Nope.

X5M not worth it in my eyes. Just get an X1 and do what paradoxical3 did with it. But then again that just me. I'd prefer to make a car faster than pay $$$. I wonder what the base Macan would do with a tune. I bet 60 crank hp could be squeezed out of it.

The base Macan with a tune has a good chance of running 11's...
