    LSD fluid change?

So...I'm curious as to what the actual answer is on this question: How important is it to get the LSD fluid replaced on time?

I didn't know that I had to get the LSD fluid changed at 2k miles, I'm currently at a little over 4k (mostly highway miles) and I called and the lady at the MB in my hometown (where I bought the car) said it wasn't that important, and it should be done, but it's not very important as to when as long as it's within about 5k miles...I have a standing appt to come into to MB of Jackson when they get the oil for the LSD in...

Another random question: should I have the tech breakdown the LSD to see if there is any damage? I haven't really driven it hard at all...except maybe the first day or two, and I haven't lost traction except 3 times..and it was for split seconds...??

I wasn't worried, but there have been like 5 posts on MBWorld about how important it is and guys freaking out because they haven't had it done yet...Thanks!

It isn't the end of the world just go get it done.

I highly doubt any damage occurred no reason to worry.

If you have just been daily driving it then I wouldn't worry about it at all. If you had been beating on it at the track constantly then that might be a different story but even then these things are made to stand up to lots of abuse. Just get it changed and make sure to ask he tech who does it to look out for shavings on the magnet and ask him if the oil looked any worse than normal.

Ok that's what I was thinking...I wasn't too worried about it because I haven't really driven it hard yet...I'll make sure to ask about the shavings when I go in. Those guys at mbw freak out over some small stuff lol...thanks!

Hahaha yeah they seem like...that's why I confirm things here and mainly go there for pictures lol...but speaking of air filters, I've had mine in for about a 100 miles and did a charcoal delete, and NO issues...I made sure I tightened down the screws tight and made sure the seal was good and...not a single issue...the car is louder for sure...not any noticeable speed difference...I feel like it stuttered a bit at low RPMs right after I put it in but it's ok now...haha...

This is a plus for sure. It's real noticable.
