Latest 2014 F30/F80 BMW M3 spyshots reveal front bumper design, wheels, and brakes

Here are the latest spyshots of the F80 M3 making their rounds on the internet. We aren't huge on spyshots usually but these reveal some details. First of all, the front bumper design appears to mirror the new F12 M6. Simple, elegant, nothing radical. There is also a slight hood bulge similar to the E9X M3 series. The brakes certainly appear to be quite large filling out the rims in front and in back. We would not be surprised to see 19's as standard with optional 20 inch rims (hopefully with a different design).

The major question mark remains what will be under the hood. General consensus is an inline-6 but the unit may end up being a V6 based on the F10 M5 S63tu 4.4 liter twin turbo V8. We hope to have the specs of what is under the hood in the next few months.

The front bumper looks like a mix between the M6 and the 650i M Sport

Judging by the fact that they covered up the front of the car but didn't care about the rear, I think we can assume that the rear is not what the production car will look like. Seems the front is very close, which makes sense given that they are hot weather testing the vehicle and would want the front end to be close to prod spec in order to assess cooling.

    I'll bet my money on a 3.278ccm V6 BiTurbo based on the S65 from the M3 GTS/CRT!

Because it's easy when you look at the position of "power dome" in comparison to the front looks.
    To even a 335i-F30 as a comparison ...

Good one. Definitely a V6 sits further in the back like the pic.

If it is all these other sites are going to have some major explaining to do. I hope it is the V6 so I can hammer them.

Unless they moved the engine back and lower for better weight distribution.... Although I'm doubtful there is that much room judging by that picture.

Also the power dome could be just for aesthetics, I wouldn't put it past BMW since they now have speakers that make engine sound lol (new m5).
