I've been wanting to do that for some time now and this cold that i got has put a lot of fun with the car on hold...i did manage to put in my new meth pump on as the old one got weak sitting for 2 years in the front bumper seeing all kinds of weather hit it

i also want to do 3" cold side piping to the throttle body as my current fmic has 3" in/out and the throttle body is 3.1-3.2"

Is it possible to move the inlet piping in front of or over the engine?

No, you need to run it through the FMIC..

The eBay BigTom IC did pretty decent on the dyno. I have lots of info to parse but I'll throw up an IC comparison in the next day or two.

I'm really looking forward to that, as the your car has made some decent results lately... Click here to enlarge

BTW, I found a detailed description of the Big Tom IC-core:

Is that not a very general picture about air to air intercooler fin design? Is it really the one from KL Racing? Seems like the fmic doesn't have the staggered fin setup which would explain the lower pressure drop across the core that I'm seeing than with my previous setup and it would also explain why it doesn't stack up as well in terms of IAT control, although it does a decent enough job there and I don't personally care much as I'm spraying meth all the time
