The EV12 finally makes it to the track!
I finally felt confident enough that I wanted to take the EV12 down the strip.
The staging lanes were so packed it took at least 20 minutes in line to hit the tree. IATs were in the 140's at idle by the time I got there, no ice and no cool down.
This is what happens when you stall the torque monster... I have a 3K stall on this mofo, right at peak torque almost, she has to be putting north of 850rwtq at that point for her to pull this one off. Back to the drawing board...she has been parked for 2 weeks since incident, weather has been horrible we will get a modified drive shaft to hold her down. Stay posted.
I would like to thank Luis (loco 55), Mike (tech-tune) and my brother Joel for taking the trip with me to the strip. Thanks to Luis for the Tow!
Here is a video, nothing special of the breakdown at launch, turbos came in too hard and drive shaft couldnt take it.

You twisted the $#@! out of that! Make sure you get a driveshaft loop as well for the future for safety purposes.
Damn, nice work. Who is building the new driveshaft?

LOL!!!! Wow man that is awesome...These things happen especially when you go big like you are doing. I've been following the build for a while now and it looks amazing. Glad you have it dialed in almost...now you know. Must be making monster torque as I too have never seen a driveshaft twist up like a pretzel like that before...yikes.
Sounds like a chromoly driveshaft is in your future
