Noob Question re JB4
Can anyone walk me through on how to turn off my JB4 without taking it out completely? I have to take the car in for service and need to turn it off to do so. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for the noob question."I hate you, you, and especially you and hope that all the bad things in life happen to you and only you!"

On the steering wheel press the Vol (-) button and Channel (-) button at the same time, this will prompt the menu on the dashboard. Now, the tach needle on 0 rpm, with the channel (-) button, and your set. This will completely deactivate the JB4. Hope this helps.

Can you give me a dumbed down version? Sorry don't mean to be a pain in the ass. Someone else installed it for me and set everything up.
I.E. put the key the ignition, then next step. Thanks Terry!"I hate you, you, and especially you and hope that all the bad things in life happen to you and only you!"

What I really need to do is make a simple video showing how to do it. It's on our to-do list!

OP - what is the car going in for? I know it is a bit of a hassle installing/uninstalling but your warranty is at stake if they find anything. just FYI, i'm sure you know this.

You should be fine for routine maintenance. They should have no reason to go in the ECU area just to check for a piggyback. I mean these dudes are not getting paid to find tunes, specially if you are just getting new liquids and a simple inspection. On the other hand, if you go in for a warranty claim, then that's a whole different story.....

I would not give them an excuse to void your warranty.. you should be alright, but if they do a DME update, and it crashes a few times, they might go digging.
That's one of the reasons I installed my own JB4 .. so I knew how to uninstall it! It was quite easy .. and I am not a car person.~
