I'm guessing the bike is going to take this one easy but here is the teaser vid:

It only takes common sense to know the outcome of this race lol. That bike is insane, no way in hell the M3 can beat it around the track. Cool video though.....

Fun to see a little competition from a vendor even if we already know the outcome. Excited to see how big a difference their lap times will be.

And liter bikes tend to wheelie past 12 second cars on the straights. Click here to enlarge

Exactly, greater surface area plus flatter cornering.

it's not going to be remotely close unless they're racing in a parking lot or there's some kind of ridiculous handicap in favor of the M3.

I'm with LM on this, the bike will win but will be close. When i was following my friend on his R1 on stunt rd, I was right behind him on the bends and wanted to push harder! the straights were when i had no chance at all, he would just be gone!

Akrapovic releases video "The Chase" - BMW E92 M3 vs. BMW S1000RR around the track

Akrapovic released a teaser video a little while back showing that they planned to compare the E92 M3 vs. the BMW S1000RR motorcycle. Both machines were outfittted with Akrpovic exhausts, obviously, as this is a promotional piece. The Akrapovic exhaust sure adds a great tone to both. The video is pretty well done, we won't spoil the result for you.

question, why did hey have to try and 'catch' eachother. why not just run each on the course and compare fastest times, this way they dont have to do 15 laps or whatever, kinda pointless.

And I know what youre gonna say "OH BUT ITS COOL BRO ITS A CHASE"

No, its about which is faster, run them seperately and compare times. thx bros

I would prefer laptimes as well but I guess they were trying to make it "cool" or whatever.
