First 160+ 1/4 mile trap 2.5 TFSI EVO - Iroz runs 9.5@162 in a FWD 8V RS3
That is not a typo. Iroz Motorsport had some driveshaft issues at the track so they decided that since they could not address the driveshaft in time to run their RS3 as a front wheel drive car. This did not help the elapsed time but it did help the trap speed.
They hit 162.20 miles per hour which is the fastest pass on the platform to date:
The 60 foot isn't even terrible. Sure, it doesn't match what they do with all four wheels getting power but that is pretty impressive for front wheel only traction. A 9.531 elapsed time is nothing to sneeze at either. The Syvecs traction control system works well.
For context, last time out with all wheel drive working as intended Iroz ran an 8.850 @ 15 8.65.
Front wheel drive only produced a faster trap, yet slower ET. Definitely something worth thinking about when it comes to drivetrain losses, traction, and performance,
