Yep, you're right. I'll clarify. An M4 with: stock heat exchanger, stock intercooler, stock fuel system, stock downpipes, stock midpipe, stock chargepipes, stock intakes, stock wheels, stock tires, stock clutches, a basic bench-flash, and a cat-back which may have been MPE which some will consider stock.
Funny how an 11.1 with one modification is barely news, while a 10.9 with every possible bolt-on makes headlines. I guess "running 10s" is a big deal if you're new to the whole modified car thing.

No disrespect to you or anybody Don't take this the wrong way 11.1 on the stock car like that it is a very impressing and congrats on that it's all about how much boost you running, seems like you guys are running 26psi and it's all about the wait to
My f80 is fully loaded with the moonroof and 19"wheels and lots of these boltones they don't help anything in a 1/4 mile if you don't know that you'll find out eventually if you keep moding your m4
We ran 2 passes at 25-26 psi so for and yes we do have stock clutches and no I'm not new to the car game i've been doing it for 15 years I'm just new to the f80 and this Big bull$#@! BoostAddict including Sticky

There are several hundred tuned stock turbo S55s out racing for the last two years. Most of them struggle to launch and fall in the mid to high 11s. A few get in to the low 11s. One has run 10s. It's impressive to run 11.1 with just a tune at a good track but for every guy running 11.1 tune only there are hundreds of cars putting down slower times with the same tune, mods, driver skill. It might be that 11.1 was a fluke and even the driver can't recreate that perfect launch. And it might be the 10 second S55 has several 10 second slips. I haven't been following either that closely.
If your point though is that many of the bolt on mods don't do crap for performance, I could not agree more. I've been saying for at least two years S55 downpipes do absolutely nothing. We made 560whp stock turbo on OEM downpipes. If you are on good fuel with good weather meth isn't going to do anything for you either during a short 1/4 mile run. I don't have any first hand experience with the intercooler but the stock ones have been fine up to 700whp in my testing. The intakes add a couple HP but mostly for sound/looks. For 1/4 mile the only things that matter are the boost level, octane, and the launch. Cut a 1.7x with 500whp and you're going to run low 11s.
PS. Nice to see more people out at the dragstrip competing for these records. So many on the forums tend to live vicariously through others posts.Burger Motorsports

[QUOTE=RobNyc;731285]+1 Always good to see when you post like this[/QUOTE +2 lol its about time he stepped in, i'm going to frame this what @Terry said, especially when he said "one ran 10s"

We all know that 10.900 it's not fast this days it used to be fast back in the days but my goal was to break into 10s with the F80 on stock turbos and I did it and I feel good about it and its getting faster 💪🙌🏻🙌🏻 #600 +
