Twin turbo Nissan 370Z VQ37VHR tuned by Slowpoke Tuning - 393 rwhp
Nice numbers for a stock internal 370Z running low boost. We do not know what turbochargers or what turbo kit this 370Z is running but what we do know is the 393 rear wheel horsepower is a major improvement over the factory ~280 rear wheel horsepower.

As the 370Z is 11.0:1 compression from the factory and naturally aspirated if one wants to build it for boost they can obviously achieve more power than this.
BoostAddict will try and get more details but certainly respectable numbers:

New generic 991.2 PSE bypass pipes - $499 shipped

I really like the looks of the latest gen 370Z. They are often overlooked because they haven't gotten much attention by Nissan. I bet that's a fun little car to drive.

Actually that's pretty low for most turbo setups on the VQ37HR. With tune/boltons they can make around 310-320whp on their own. Most of the turbo setups I've seen are in the 500whp range. I'm guessing it's either very low boost (like 4-5psi) or high temps keeping the power down.
08 E90, just boltons

A good friend of mine had one for about two years, it was a pretty fun car but honestly just dated. For the money you could get a lot better driving experience even out of a heavier car such as an Ecoboost Mustang with the track package. He has since moved onto a 981 Cayman which is definitely a lot more of a "fun" sports car.

Yeah for real. These motors make power real easily because of the variable valve lift as well as variable cam timing on intake and exhaust (similar to valvetronic and dual vanos). The high compression means it needs lots of octane and cooling though. I have seen well over 500hp on stock motor but doesn't last long.

I know a few guys running this kit from Fast Intentions. They seem to do great work and make tons of power (677whp on the stock block)

Given the blue couplers say greddy I would bet the greddy TT kit. At least that is what it looks like to me. Has to be REALLY low boost.
I always assumed the HRs were like the rest of the VQs and were glass above 400whp...

It simply had a better combination of ride quality and handling at least from my personal experience, it made the 370Z's suspension feel pretty dated. Furthermore the interior of the Mustang is a lot more modern, and of course the available power plants make the rather raspy V6 in the 370Z just feel outclassed.

I should have definitely included the Caveat that this was just "spirited" driving on the street and highway, there aren't really any mountain roads or tracks to really test out the capabilities of either car, at which point I'm sure the lighter 370Z would outshine the Mustang.

i absolutely love tuning these 3.7L VQ's. nissan did it right with the VVEL in these cars. Boosted they make very good power with not much effort.
Looking forward to getting my hands on the New Q60 soon. TTV6, going to be fun tuning.

Wasn't the longest thread in BoostAddict network history involving a twin snail 350/370? Every time this thread gets bumped I fear it is that one...
