900 horsepower ECU tuned Ferrari 488 GTB from VOS Performance sitting on Loma wheels

With its new 3.9 liter twin turbo V8 the Ferrari 488 GTB will be far more tuner friendly than any of the previous naturally aspirated Ferraris. As you well know, forced induction motors respond very well to tuning and it is much easier to get larger gains with just say an ECU tune.

That is why VOS (Vision of Speed) in Germany making these claims of 900 horsepower and 671 lb-ft of torque on the 488 GTB with a result of their tuning is not crazy. However, they provide no support for their claims.

We will see 900 horsepower 488 GTB's as it is just a matter of time but VOS needs to prove they have one. This is what they claim they did to the car:

We offer a performance increase for all type Stage 3 Ferrari 488.

For this purpose, the engine control unit is programmed directly.
A BMC air filter kit also holds collection
In addition, a downpipe Phrase R / L is built in stainless steel
As well as our in-house stainless steel sport exhaust system with captivating sound
The result is 900 DIN hp and 910 Nm of torque
V-max lifting to> 350 km / h - depending on the rolling circumference of the tire / wheel combination

So a 'Stage 3' kit with an ecu tune, downpipes, and exhaust they say results in their claimed numbers. Only an increase of just over 100 lb-ft of torque over stock though? Yet a huge hp gain claim over the stock 661 horsepower? It just doesn't feel right somehow.

The carbon bodywork is obviously gorgeous as are the Loma wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot SuperSport 255/35/21 tires in front and 325/25/21 tires in back. The LOMA forged wheels are 9.0x21 front and 12x21 in back.

A pretty Ferrari with aftermarket wheels and carbon body pieces is nothing new. What we want is concrete proof of the tuning results on the 488 GTB. So far, we do not no have any such proof.

What kind of tuner makes huge horsepower claims on a turbo motor and instead of delving into the tuning details posts bodykit pictures instead?

I'm pretty skeptical that it's making 900 with just full bolt ons... Some tuners out there are claiming ~780 tune only (of course no dynos still) but to gain an additional 120 from doing full exhaust and intake seems a bit optimistic. I imagine ~800 BHP with full bolt ons is very doable, but 900... Going to have to see it to believe it!
