RBTurbo plate review/DIY

I must say as always Rob Bech knocked it out of the park yet again! I got the RB plate and polished it up (Polished nicely), after installing this plate I realized this is more than just a cosmetic plate. The plate seperates the oil line nicely and also follows the contour of the oil filter housing much better than the previous plate I had. With this plate seperating the oil lines you will get a lot less rubbing!

I had mine different than the production model...mine are 1/2" NPT. had to use some -8AN female to -8AN female couplers to extern the hose...that is about it.

Those fittings look nice.

Very nice. How much does that cost? I need to re-locate my lines to clear the compressor housing of my turbo, this would be perfect.

Looks very trick. What's the purpose or reason for this mod though other than looking good? Is there an inherent flaw or weakness this overcomes?

at first it was just cosmetic, but it keeps my lines from rubbing wich is a huge plus!

removes factory thermostat, allowing for delete, or aftermarket one.

keep forgetting it does that to...I have always had a external one. I seriously think this is better with wider spacing.

are you using an8 fittings and hose?

i thought about using an10, but seems they are way too large

I'm sure you could ask RB what fitting he tapped the plate for.

I am using -8AN and have 1/2" npt male threads on plate

the website states m18 p1.5 thread which is available, just wanted to know what an sizes you used in the engine bay cause i layed out an10 cable and it looked huge in the engine bay

your an8 setup looks much nicer
