Maserati MC20 0-200 kph launch control run

The Maserati MC20 got a bit overshadowed recently as the McLaren Artura stole its thunder. Unlike the Artura, the MC20 does not have a hybrid drivetrain and its 630 horsepower Nettuno 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 is just straight internal combustion.

It likely will be slower than the Artura but it certainly may sound better and be more fun to drive. The engine note in the video below racing to 200+ kph certainly sounds great.

No GPS testing unfortunately but it seems we are getting closer to actual press car testing.

It looks really sexy. The rear reminds me of the McLaren GT a lot.

Will it be more fun to drive? Tough question. Modern McLarens offer the best steering in the segment by a country mile (one of the best hydraulic racks ever made will always trump EPAS) but the drivetrain and chassis tuning may be less characterful.

The car's only hope is that it is more fun to drive as the Artura is going to be much faster for the same money.
