    • Overrated/overpriced fat boat - 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport test figures - 0-60 2.2, 9.1@161 1/4 mile, 4587 pound curb weight

Is the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport impressive? No. Now, BoostAddict.com will gladly explain why. For $4+ million dollars you are getting a heavy Veyron reskin. Yes, it's super fast out of the box and the strongest Chiron yet and that is about all there is to get excited about.

You can clown on this Chiron with a bolt on turbo kit for a Lamborghini Huracan. In a sports car over a thousand pounds lighter for a fraction of the cost with a better exhaust note to boot.

The Chiron makes all the mistakes the Veyron made. All that is appealing here is the status of being able to afford the Chiron. Anyone into performance is better off spending their money elsewhere.

Even if you have the cash, what is the point? A ton of money to have to fear a Tesla Model S Plaid from a light?

Ok, cool, sixteen cylinders (same as the Veyron), quad turbos (same as the Veyron), even fatter (the Veyron was already fat), and even more expensive.

Who does this impress? Certainly not people who know cars.

Bro, it’s not impressive? Name another car that can cover distance like that with similar ease, comfort, reliability and safety? None of the aftermarket can match those traits because obviously none of them go through the standards that a production car on the level of Bugatti does.

I'd bet the Motec equipped Huracans that have been running for years and years now have the programming down pat and you can run flex-fuel.

A Plaid and with more room and passenger capability? See how boring that gets and how quickly?

For this money I want something that stirs the soul rather than impresses clueless people.

It's like when people were impressed by a Maybach when it was just an overpriced S-Class.

        This is just Veyron 2.0.

This is what someone with money AND taste buys:

Exactly this. I personally dont see the appeal but its an engineering masterpiece.

No it isn't. They took an aerodynamically poor design and threw enough power at it to get it to exceed a top speed record the McLaren F1 set at a fraction of the cost, power, and weight.

It's just a bloated status symbol for when VW had money to burn.

        A bit incorrect on this...

VW/Bugatti did an engineering masterpiece in aerodynamics. The car has the perfect balance between speed and stability. There is no finer engineered automobile to date.

Sorry but that is just wrong. There is so much more to this car than what you've stated here. You're smart enough to realize that. You dont have to like the car, personally I dont much myself, but the engineering that went into something that can hit the speeds it does while being comfortable and easy enough to drive for grandma to get groceries cannot be ignored. A TT hurican is obv able to achieve the same speeds but it is not going to feel as refined.

Gordon Murray is asshurt, the article is from Dec. 22, 2005, about a Veyron and irrelevant to the 2022 Chiron Supersport.

Sometimes it is best to admit that you are incorrect.

        Not at all.

        What exactly doesn't carry over?

The Chiron is just Veyron 2.0 as stated...

Sometimes just because something is expensive and powerful doesn't mean it is impressive.

        Overrated.
